Nathan Quinn, RMHCI, Director of Research & Education

My name is Nathan and I use he/him or they/them pronouns. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida.

I work from an open and honest lens with clients from all backgrounds. Everyone deserves a space where they can be their true authentic self without judgement. I strive to co-create that space with you, and work at the dialectic between acceptance and change to get the results you desire out of therapy.

After coming out as a queer transgender man, I found my passion for social justice issues, especially mental health. My background prior to becoming a therapist was as a queer and trans activist. I spent years fighting for policy change that consciously affirms the rights of transgender students.

As a therapist, I integrate my lived experience with the counseling theories of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Feminist Therapy. I specialize in therapy for Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, and LGBTQ+ identities.
